Star Trek was Good
May. 9th, 2009 07:15 amWhat is the difference between a Trekkie and a Trekker, besides one being a more awkward name? I went to a whole panel on this one Balticon and I still can't tell the difference.
Movie was good. I was interested. Maybe it will be successful. I am still confused by the Romulans. I have not really seen much Original Series Star Trek, and wasn't really charmed by what I did see, and this movie made me more interested. Which I guess was the goal. We saw it in IMAX, which was great.
Today several members of Team Monster have been invited to a photo shoot so they can be on calendars. (Hint: I am not one of them.) We will see how that goes. I thought it was going to be cancelled - it was forecast to rain all day and then this morning it was sunny. So they had to get emergency baths this morning because they were rolling in mud all yesterday afternoon. Now they are drying out and smell like lavender dog shampoo. I hope they are not still damp by 9, their call time.
I have no idea how to groom a Corgi - I picked Corgis expressly because I would not have to groom them. I think all the other folks there have super-serious show dogs, so this will probably be embarrassing.
One of the things I miss about Buffy no longer being on the air are all the bands that played at The Bronze. I think this band should play there: Garfunkel and Oates
But alas.
Alicemonster has more puppy shots today. Hope we don't have to go to the puppy ER again tonight - last time she had an allergic reaction to her vaccines.
